About
Biography
I am a doctoral researcher at the University of Vienna, where I specialise in the intersection of public international law and nuclear non-proliferation with a focus on the institutional design of the nuclear non-proliferation regime. More specifically, my dissertation explores the possibility of judicial settlement of nuclear safeguards disputes, with which I seek to determine whether a practicable reality exists for justiciability in an area often dominated by political considerations. My academic background further includes an LL.M. in Public International Law from the University of Nottingham, a University Diploma in International Nuclear Law from the University of Montpellier and an LL.B. in International and European Law from The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
My published research output to date enjoys high-level recognition. I have written a peer-reviewed article on the JCPoA, which has been cited in reports of the United Nations International Law Commission. My academic output further includes regular contributions at conferences organised by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the T.M.C. Asser Institute, and Uppsala University. To align my scholarship with industry good practices, I maintain active memberships in the International Nuclear Law Association and the World Institute for Nuclear Security, among others. Collectively, these efforts reflect my broader interest in the relationship between doctrinal legal scholarship and the realpolitik underlying contemporary nuclear governance.
Beyond academia, I have gained professional experience in the nuclear sector, including Fusion for Energy (F4E), which works on the ITER project, British Pugwash, and the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Bulgaria in Vienna.
